Born on August 31, 1977 in Iowa, Benjamin began his actor education at the C.A.S.T academy in Minneapolis. After almost two years of "exacting and authoritarian" training and stage performances, he moved to Savannah, GA, where he completed over 10 independent and student film projects in just a year's time. During his short stay in Savannah, he also starred in several plays including the 28th annual Shakespeare festival. Of his stage work, Rose Marino of the Savannah Morning News shared, "There are a lot of reasons to catch "Boy Gets Girl" at City Lights, but the biggest one has got to be seeing Ben Watson… Like a werewolf changing with the phases of the moon, he visibly goes from a sweet yet wanting young man to a psychotic stalker..."

    The year 2003 marked Benjamin's arrival in Los Angeles, and as before, he wasted no time moving his career forward. His first year in Hollywood included signing with his first agent (ABA), joining AFTRA and SAG, booking his first national commercial (Chevy), and a lead in his first SAG feature film (What's Bugging Seth,). The beginning of 2005 has also been productive for Watson; two commercials and a guest star appearance on the Discovery Channel's "Guilty or Innocent". In addition, Benjamin has enjoyed filming more than a half-dozen independent shorts and spec commercials.
